5/6 Prospertown pond

We stopped at Prospertown to take a look on our way to Dam Site 4 and decided to fish what was left of the water by what was the dam (you don't need a dam if there is no water). Going to the back was a waste of time as there is little water left deeper than 6" . The water was brown with little visability . Harry started things off with a nice Sunfish on a Mealworm . Then Chris caught a 14" Bass on a Mealworm . I get a Pickerel and we settle down to a pick of Sunfish/Pickerel . The water wasn't more than 3-4' along the face of the dam but it looks like the deepest water that is left . We managed 3 Bass 12-14" a couple dozen Pickerel , and 20-25 sunfish . The fish were all light colored due to the dirty conditions . We returned everything to the water . It is sad to see such a great fishery crash so badly . Never did take the ride up 130 as you don't leave fish to find fish .

I pass by there nearly everyday goin to/from work.. I'm still surprised at the amount of people that still fish it even though its only a trickle of what once was. The fly rod guys have been doing very well lately.
