Raritan River Skunk
 

Hey everyone, new guy here making my first post. Hit the high waters of the Raritan River at the fish ladder Monday morning, Tuesday night, and twice today with hopes of a striper or walleye and got the three day skunk. I threw Husky jerks, jointed rapalas, Storm swim shads, and a tsunami long minnow with no takers. I did manage to foul hook 2 gizzard shad and land a good sized "no tresspassing" sign though. :rolleyes: Oh well, glad to be on the site now and hopefully my next post will include a picture of a fish.

Welcome to the site. The Raritan has its moments that's for sure !!

We threw alot last year for the few fish we did get. I'm lucky living only about 10 minutes from the falls.

Keep at it and we love photos !! I'm sure I will run into you down there soon.

Theres fish to be caught in the Mighty RR, The small fish hide when the waters up high and the big boys come out to play!!!

Thanks guys. I also only live about 5 mins from the falls and can be found somewhere between the Raritan, the Millstone, and the D&R almost daily. Andy, I'm pretty sure I saw you at the falls about a month ago with my buddy, before I had a forum name. We were up on the canal path trading stories before fishing and you showed us a couple of the shad darts you were throwing. I'm sure we'll cross paths again soon.
