Planning on headin up to Clinton rd tommorow and was wondering, what would be the best location to fish for trout depth wise. Never tried for trout there before. Thanx in advance.

Yeah, I was gonna stop and pick up a boat launch and fishing permit for the year. Never fished a big lake like that before for stocked trout. Not even sure were they stock them from which may be a good starting point. Prob the boat launch?

The problem with Clinton is the bass and the pickeral eat the stockies, this is a fact. I wouldn't waste much time on trout, the holdovers barley exist and the best time to catch the stockies is during in season stocking on Fridays, at the launch. Small spinners/phoebes will do the trick the rest of the stockies are feed.
