opening day was the biggest let down ever. 3 hours of fishing with not even a bite and lost a bunch of lures while everyone else around me caught their limit in less than an hour. all because i was the only one not using power bait or worms; strictly artificials. came back to the same spot this morning with power bait and picked up 2 small brookies in an hour. went to the south branch later and got 2 more, both on the same thing. i used to hate power bait, but now it seems like the only thing working. only bad thing that happened today was leaving my pliers on the bank :p

Don't become a Power Cheese junkie! You can always find some artificial bait that works.

never will rely on this stuff. just occasionally when artificials aren't working.

Just wait till they are off the Trout Chow and the Metal will start working again .
