Opening Day Verona Park
Decided to stop by VP for a few hours after work today. Not to crowded but more than the usual. Started off with crawlers and within a few minutes I was getting bites. Ended up being a couple sunnies so I switched over to a spinner. Couple casts later im reeling in my personal best brookie. Pretty good fight on 4#, and kinda drew a crowd. After a quick photo session he was released unharmed.
Kept throwing the same spinner and within the next 2 hours I had lost 2 more beasts. First one spit the lure, second one took it. Also talked with a guy who had a monster rainbow on his stringer. Def had a pound or to on mine. All in all a good day. http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/...G/IMAG0705.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/...G/IMAG0706.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/...G/IMAG0710.jpg |

Your brookie is a brown trout.

Re: Opening Day Verona Park
There, that just shows how little trout fishing I've done, not much. I just knew it wasn't a bow.
Funny how I just expected to go with crawlers and limit out on little guys and the only action i got was from the breeders. |
