Passaic River 3/10
 

Hit the river today. Pretty cool and breezy till about 2-3, sloooooow fishing. Decided to try an "out of the way" spot since I saw a bunch of other fishermen out and about. After going for a swim, yeah me, waist deep, I finally had some luck!! Got a nice cat off a shiner and a sweet pike off a hot pink lure!! Not even sure what brand it is or why I used it but it was in the box and I gave it a try............

Nice fish bro, let me know if you ever need some company...never had a ton of success on the Passaic and would love to see what areas you fish in exchange I would be willing to show you some of my trout and bass honey holes...

Def sometime. Besides, I've been wanting to do some trout fishing. Not much here. I'm very close to both Barbours pond and verona park. But I'm not a big fan. Might elbow some lttle kids out of the way and try for some bonus broodstock on opening day, lol.

I thought I read something about them stocking trout in the passaic at west Essex park this year but I can't find it now. Anyone else see this on the website?
