Upper Hackensack River?

Anyone ever fish the area around New Milford/Dumont? Don't think I've heard anything besides striper and white perch reports in the brackish/tidal section of river(where I've caught a few)...but I'm curious to know what's upstream in the skinnier water.

Going back 30 years or more, I used to ride my bike with my crab cages and chicken necks to the old new bridge and catch plenty of blueclaws. Don't remember taking any home.

Oradell up by the dam should have some bass and panfish.

Thanks guys, keep it coming :)

I guess what I'm looking for is anyone who's caught largemouth or smallmouth out of this river. I know there are stripers, as I've caught a few downstream in the Secaucus/Lyndhurst area...just curious to see really how diverse of a river it is. I regularly fish the Passaic where you can pull literally anything out of there.
