Late Afternoon/Night Fishing
 

since it was so warm today i hit the millstone from 4:30-6:30 and caught a dozen bullheads to my suprise. the secret to catching them was real small liver chunks, like only a little bigger than your thumnail.

not bad for this time of year. the warm weather latley has been keeping them active. time for trout!

I caught a white perch and bluegill in the 53 degree Millstone River yesterday. Had a few nibbles on my homemade corn meal bait but didn't hook up. Big fish were swirling. I caught 3,301 fish in NJ fresh water this year and won 4 NJ Skillful Angler Awards.

ah, another person with detailed records!
i am only on 1605 fish though, during 108 outings. also 4 c&r skillful angler awards.

i dont keep track on how many i catch but its probably only around 900-1,000this year so far, 650-750 at least in fresh and around 150-200 salt. so ya u guys beat me both ;)

I probably only caught about 100 , but I sure did have a good time doing it.

I made 229 NJ fresh water fishing trips this year. I won C & R awards for bluegill, carp and brown bullhead and an Adult award for bullhead. That's 26 NJ Skillful Angler awards with 6 first place.

Beat my all time best this year. 6,543 fish. All freshwater. Banner year for me.
