Upper Delaware

Fished the upper Delaware on Saturday, near barryville. While the water was still higher than normal and a bit cloudy, overall the fishing was pretty solid. In a bit over an out I had 7 nice sized smallies. They hit a lot harder than I was expecting and wetn after some top-water jerk baits as well as some jigs with pumpkin seed tails.

Tight Lines

Andy, I just checked the reg's. It says that the season is closed October 15th, but doesn't say if you can catch and release them or not. Do you know what the rule is on this?

The regs aren't as clear about the rest of the streams in NY, though. I sent an email to the NYSDEC today for clarification, no response as of yet. I will post a reply once I get it.
