Lake Assunpink 7/29
Hit Assunpink this morning. Got on the lake at 5:00 am. We had a slow pick of bass on topwaters for the first 2 1/2 hours. We then switched to jigging and tried to find the crappies. They seemed reluctant to bite as we had none fishing all the usual spots. We did catch a few bass on the jigs though. I managed one extra fish on topwater before we left. We got off the lake at 9:15 am. We caught 12 bass in that time. Big fish was 2lbs.. Suprised we only caught bass while we were targeting crappies. We usually get a mixed bag when throwing the Mr. Twisters. Only one other boat this morning.Overall, an OK morning on the lake.

Re: Lake Assunpink 7/29
No there are 10 lb. bullheads in there:p . YES, there are channel cats in there. I am not a catfisherman but have heard the catfishing in Assunpink is very good. Stone Tavern and Rising Sun on the other hand, I have no idea.
