RV night rainbows 7/23:
 

Met C.O.T.L. (Mark) at the ramp around 8:15pm. Motored out and got on my spot and double anchored in 45 ft. of water and we watched the sun go down. By 9:30 Mark nailed the first fish, a fiesty 19" rainbow, after that he plugged away with night crawlers landing another 4 and only keeping 3 for a boat limit by 10:45. I hardly had a chance to fish as I was helping untangling lines and netting trout, I did manage a few bluegills in between being mate and captain. Mark was on fire in the bow. We decided since we had a limit to not to try to C&R anymore fish and take the chance of gut hooking and cutting lines so we pulled the hooks and headed for the barn, very early I must say. I gutted the trout out there and 2 of them were PACKED with corn, I was surprised they were still feeding since they were so gorged. I don't chum, never have and never will, there is no need for it. Felt good to get out and get back in such a short time. This year the majority of the rainbows seem to be in the 16 to 20 inch range, very nice fish. Wind was never a factor and there were alot of boats out and about. 2nd best part of the night was the drive home, Frank Zappa tunes on 103.3 FM:D

Also, got back to the boat launch and the big lights were not working :mad:

Packed up the boat using just my headlamp. Some guy got lazy and locked his boat to the floating dock and left it there :confused: and someone left a boat trailer in the parking lot :eek: Picked up some garbage off the new floating docks :mad:

Catfish, I changed my game plan, BIG D trip moved to tomorrow. I like the little temperature change thats coming in. Will be fishing hard tomorrow from about 2 in the afternoon til I run outta bait!!!
