Round Valley

Anybody have any thoughts on catching largemouth there? I have been there twice and it seems like a tough place for largemouth... but, it's probably just me.

They definately grow big there, you just have to find them! I know of many 5-8lb'ers caught there and I had a near 4lb'er a few weeks back at night.

That place is tough this time of year.....They are deep by now from what I have experienced. Don't be afraid of 40ft of water (or more) with some kind of rise to shallow near by. Points in and out of Rangers Cove have some nice spots where it comes up rather quickly and then there is plenty of vegetation as it gets shallower. Natural colors on the plastics and slow go with long casts worked for me. They are picky and the water is so clear.... have never tried live bait but have heard of some success from others with it. Small mouth are not a bad option there as well.(smoke color tubes)

Good Luck.
