july 4th,higginville/woodfern bronze back slam
Got dropped off at Higginsville bridge and fished down to the woodfern bridge from 8:40 to about 12:30 or so....stuck with the plastics this time...went right to the wackey rig w/ the black and blue flake that produced yesterday....stopp counting after 20.....river was high and dirty but they were hungry....caught two upstream from woodfern by the undercut bank that might have been close to 4 lb.s....glad I wore my truunks cause i ended up swimmin in the current after I tried to cross just below that pool...swapped my bag and now everything is on the front porch dryin out....it was nice to put up some numbers today after haveing to work so hard for so few fish yesterday......still might take a trip over to Roberts St. this evening to push my luck....would be nice to catch my first walleye ever.....
