Pemberton Lake 6/17
 

Hit Pemberton Lake this afternoon afterschool. We fished from 1:30 to 5:30 pm. We had a pretty decent day of fishing. We combined for 26 bass,crappie, and sunfish. We fished the shorelines for bass and jigged for crappies around underwater cover. The weather was OK, it was sunny most of the time, however we did get some light rain and cloud cover which helped. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon. Gonna be on MCR tommorow, hope to nail some big bass before the heat, sun, and boat traffic shuts the fishing down.

Thinking of taking my crew...they dont know it yet..fishing on FD!:p One wants to go on the salt and the other not at all...so it will be a short trip on my boat in fresh water as a compromise. Thinking Assunpink!

Unfortunately, tommorow's forecast is not Merrill Creek weather, the fishing slows down after sunrise with warm water, no cloud cover and heat there especially. However, it has big bass in it, and most people fish there for trout so pressure isn't too bad. Hope you do well tommorow. MCR tommorow and big stripers on Sunday, doesn't get any better than that.

Beg to differ. Everytime I am there it's 95% bass guys going around the edges and maybe 1 or 2 boats out deep for trout.

I guess Im just lucky, always see more guys livelining herring or out deep trolling than going around the edges for bass. The last time was about 1/2 and 1/2 though, the most bass guys Ive seen there. Usually, it's 1/4 bass guys and 3/4 trout guys, but again that's just my experience. And most of the time, they're mostly in the timber, which holds plenty of fish but they aren't concentrated so I ignored there the last time. Usually no one gets in our way while were fishing there.
