More carp success....
I rocked another nice hoover in Union County today. Easily 15-pounds, maybe a little more. Same thing Jmurr said: I tossed a small can of creamed corn in, then threw my line into the same area and waited. After 30 mins. or so I started seeing carp tails break the surface and 10 mins. after that....zzzzziiiiinnnngg. Had to go home after that, start to finish I was out an hour. I've been using 8-lb. test mono as the main line and 8-lbl fluoro leader with a 1/8-oz. egg sinker, small barrel swivel and a #10 Gamakatsu treble with a piece of whole kernel sweet corn on each point. This fish was a fighter, taking a bunch of nice runs, including disappearing from the shoreline 4 times. What a rush. Who needs drugs?

Re: More carp success....
We need to know which rod you were using ?? Was it a TR ?

Re: More carp success....
No, but that rod was with me. As far as I'm concerned, the curse is broken. It went way beyond not being able to catch a fish with that rod, it was not being able to catch ANY fish when it was with me. I still need to catch a fish on that rod, but I think it's gonna be aight.

Re: More carp success....
Thanks man. And thanks for all the help. No doubt that I wouldn't be catching this fish without you keeping me on the chum and sweet corn. Just needed to give it more time.
