North Branch 5/11/11
Hit the river after 5pm. Caught a couple of tiny smallies, couple of sunnies and a couple of trout. The trout would chase everything within feet of me but getting them to strike required some work. They would not touch the worms I was using but noticed they chased the worm in on the retrieve. So, I switched to a spinner, first cast and bam, nailed one. Then they would chase the spinner, whack at it but not take it. I watched all this as the water was crystal clear. Anyway, I switched my lure a couple more times and nailed two more browns. Really enjoying the river this year.
