spawning bass
 
i heard today that you are not allowed to fish for bass while they are spawning. is this true? i bass fish all the time and nobody ever says anything when i do it during the spawn

Catch & Release only. You can still fish for them, only not keep them.

Talked to a fish biologist a while ago about this. He said to leave them alone until they're off their spawning beds. He told me a lot of times they lose their way and don't go back on their nest. I find them too easy to catch when they are on their nest.
