North Branch Cinco DE Mayo

Water still high but cleaning up. Had every spot to myself. The state stock a lot of brown trout Wednesday. All the fish I caught for the first time were browns except for two rainbows. Again, butterworms slaughtered them. Just ordered two hundred more from Elliotsbutterworms.com. I went through three hundred already. Constantly outfishes every other bait I use this year. Brook and brown trout are meat eaters and love things like worms, mealworms and buttterworms. The butterworms are very light in color and can be seen in discolored water easier.

Cuz, where were you fishing? I checked out the North Branch yesterday, and the river downstream from Far Hills seemed pretty dirty.
