Water still high but cleaning up. Caught twelve trout on butterworms. I tried power bait, baby nightcrawlers, and spinners before I used the butterworms. I was trying to convince myself the trout would take anything because the water cleaned up. Wrong. I had two men ask me what I was using to draw bites. They were using worms with no success. Two fly fishermen had minimal results with woolley worms and nymphs. I was surprised ten of my fish were brookies. With two being rainbows. I heard they were stocking more rainbows this week and henceforth. I didn't see that this afternoon.
