Newark Bait and Flycasters Club Affair
 

My wife, Anne, Michael Obuch (owner of Funny Pharm) and myself attended a very nice affair and fundraiser for this club last evening. Was informed the club is 104 years old making it the oldest fishing club in the state. They stock fish at Echo Lake, Mountainside, N.J. two times a year. Once for a month long fishing derby for children and adults April 16th - May 7th 2011. The second stocking is for people with disabilities fishing derby in September. We sat with the Marantz twins, Don and Al, which are always a funny pair to hang out with. Our table cleaned up on raffle prizes. I personally won a bait runner rod and reel, a pair of deck shoes, Dicks Sporting goods certificates, and a bottle of wine. Can't wait for the next fundraiser!
At this affair we were educated about the Pots Off The Reefs bills that are pending.

Thanx for the info, sounds good. I thought they were the oldest club in the State, I didn't know 104 years, wow.
