Stuck check valve that is built into the hose barb at the gas tank where the gas line attaches to it?

I had the same issue, and just fixed it today on my boat. Very precision fit on that check valve ball, doesn't take very much to clog it in the closed position. It literally sets the tank up for failure not being able to feed fuel to the motor.

Replaced mine today with a Moeller hose barb and I made sure I purchased one WITHOUT a check valve in it.

Well, LMAO, I'd go back and demand a refund if they charged you that kind of money and didn't fix it. I fixed mine today, I got stuck up near SRI striper fishing and I run out of Manasquan Inlet. Fortunately, I have my built in tank, two 8 gallon auxillary tanks and my 8HP git homer motor with a 6 gallon tank.

When I couldn't blow the 'clog' back into the tank with 120 psi using the air compressor, I realized there had to be a check valve. Like I said, it's definitely an un needed arrangement and literally sets the tank up for failure with particles of dirt SO small, the only thing they will clog is that check valve, so I eliminated it.
