Trout release method

This season I stumbled on a method to release trout ( lure treble hook caught) w/o handling fish. I simply keep fish in water, grab treble shank w/ my hand or plier depending on size of fish. Hold tight, let fish wiggle against hook , has to be lip hooked, not deep inside mouth obiviously, couple of flips they generally swim off. Never have to squeeze or touch fish. Seems to work under these conditions just fine. Try it, if hook does not pop then I cradle fish in water & pop out w/ hemostat LN plier.
