Shifting difficulties

Just installed a replacement lower unit on my 1995 200 HP Ocean Pro.
I can get in neutral and reverse but forward binds. I have not run the motor since attaching the lower unit. The lower unit is a new rebuilt aftermarket unit. It turns free and easy in neutral.

try running engine and putting in gear at idle my engine(suzuki) doesnt fall in gear when engine is not running

When you reinstall it the throttle and lower unit must both be in neutral.

You may have to do a "link and sync"
