bondo fiberglass

Has anyone tried the Bondo fiberglass repair kits? It looks like it may be good if you have a small repair. I have a small delamination of glass from my transom and was wondering if this stuff would work?Any input?

You should be OK if it's a small repair and the stuff is very easy to work with.... If it's below the water line and you are not going to re gel coat it then I would reccomend you seal around the repair to avoid any chance water intrusion.

Yes - I've used Marine Tex too... Probably even easier to work with but just watch, it sets up pretty quick and can be difficult to sand if you leave too much on. It hardens like steel...

I even used it once to nurse an old heat exchanger that sprung a leak once.

Besides duct tape, it's a must to have on any boat :D

used to use it pretty much but never liked the long lasting results if below the water line, if below use marine tex and yeah marine tex is a bear to sand
