split lobster steamed

Since Shoprite has any size for 5.99 and ribeyes that are choice for 2.99(another post) I figured I would share how I eat them. I like to wait maybe once or twice a year and really indulge in them. I prefer 2-2.5 lbers, but any size is usually good under3.5 lbs. I first take the lobster and put a knife right behind the eyes towards the mouth killg the lobster, then I turn the lobster around and cut down through the tails. I then clean the guts with my finger and quick rinse that cavity. If you like the insides leave them in. I then take a full chaffer size pan and rotate the lobsters butted up shell to shell meat up in the pan. I sometime will the put a couple of thyme sprigs, whole chives and lemon wheels or I simply put a cup of water in the pan and cover with foil. I like to use the bbq, but right now the oven works.Grill-med-high 10 minutes.Oven 450 10 minutes. while this is cooking I steep(melt with garlic) chopped garlic and salted butter together for dipping. Fresh lemon if you like and black pepper....Enjoy with no tommole if you like:)

I split them and put them right on the grill after coating racks with olive oil.
then make melted butter with fresh garlic for on the side
