GAMBLER --Striped Bass Report
 

Gambler's Striped Bass trips have been productive this week. Catching a lot more of the sizes that we can keep now and using a lot more bonus tags --which we have right onboard for your convenience.

Still seeing some oversized 30-40lbers (that we release) and a few short fish beginning to show (that we release). But with the bonus tags, customers can go home with up to 2 fish.

The last two trips, we caught more fish on shads than jigs --but that can change according to what they are feeding on.

Lately, the fish have been tight to the beach in 25 to 45ft of water. Sometimes we see the fish on top, sometimes they are holding deep and read them on the fish-finders.

As long as the water does not get too cold, too quick, we should be catching stripers for some weeks yet. Do not let the West wind keep you home --even up to 30 knots forecast, we are protected by the lee-of-the-land and 15 to 30 NW is great conditions for striped bass jigging.

GAMBLER will not be fishing on Thanksgiving day, the 27th Have a great holiday!

Gambler is now taking reservations for our offshore sea bass trips, which start in late December!

You don't need a license or permit to fish --you are covered under ours
We have virtually everything you will need aboard (just dress warm)
