Sounder readings

I attached a few photos from my furuno bottom sounder when I was blackfishing in the Shrewsbury rocks area on anchor. Let me know your thoughts on what the readings actually are. Thanks.

Looks to me to be a lot of smaller fish, such as bergals and such,,moving around , feeding over the rough bottom .. The vertical lines appear that way when there is movement up from bottom, or toward bottom..

Thanks for the reply, Bob. I figured it was some type of bait. I did try to drop a snagging hook on a rod I had there to see if I could snag something. I tried for a few minutes, but couldn’t snag anything. It was only in 20 feet of water on anchor. The readings would come and go off and on. I really couldn’t see anything in the water necessarily like you would if it was a large school of bunker. Let’s see what others might have to say.

Well, there’s an experienced captain replying. Thanks, Captain Ron. That is exactly what I was thinking the readings were as well. These fishfinders drive me ****ing crazy though. lol🤦*♂️
