Faith in Humanity
 

Not sure about you but I find myself often enough dwelling on the negatives while there's lots of positives around. I know I could use a little attitude adjustment once and a while and today I got some.

My Grandson was fishing the beach down at Sandy Hook today and I joined him later on in the day.. My daughter told me there were 2 kids fishing on the beach near them earlier that took him under their wings, gave him some live bait they netted and were such nice kids.

We returned to that same spot later in the day and I had the pleasure of meeting these 2 kids who had been fishing the entire morning and were still there at 3.

We talked for a while, the kids were so nice and respectful and they gave me some tips too.

How about that! Warmed my heart and gave me a little shot of what I needed today.

I don't know who you boys are but it was a real pleasure meeting you today, we can all take a lesson from you and hope to run into you again.

Same type story - was fishing after midnight shift down on the South Amboy beach for stripers. Just fishing off the beach mid morning and I happen to get a good bite. Looked around and happened to see a women with a little boy walking along the water edge of the water and asked for some help. The women came over with her son and I gave him the pole to help me. I will always remember the boys face bringing it to the beach. Showed him how to release it and let it go for another day... I will always remember that catch and release . ........................

Good stuff right there! I’ll bet that boy remembers that to this day and will do the same for some others
