Raritan river 9/5/25:
 

9/5/25: 74* water 750 CFS. 8am to 1pm Orlando Park Raritan Borough to Riverside Park Piscataway. We FLEW down the river at 750 CFS after last nights rain. The water was off but not muddy. The problem was all the algae that had built up the past 3 weeks finally decided to cut loose. Fishing top water lures was just about the only game in town. Saw 2 bald eagles in Manville and 2 osprey also. The Greenbrook unloaded after the floods and deposited a good amount of tires in the river anywhere from Queens bridge to Riverside Park. We couldn't help but to do our part as we went, got a boogie board too !
