Must have been bad
No fluke reports

Re: Must have been bad
That was a bad week long blow, going to take more than a few days for things to settle. Especially days where it's still blowing hard from the south. Based on the marine forecast, fish should start schooling back up mid to later part of the week and as long as we don't get another big storm fishing the first two weeks of September should be good. Don't think fish have moved out yet. Scattered yes, moved no. And yes, this weekend's reports were abysmal as everyone should've expected.

Other species were the better option for those wanting to fish . Sea bass , bluefish , bones etc . Tuesday / Wednesday will tell the tale of how much the fish shifted |

Re: Must have been bad
Still found plenty of fish in NYH and Gravesend on Sun and yesterday. Gotta pick thru the shorts but keepers are there. Hopefully these areas were protected enough from the Erin swell and continue chugging along for the next few weeks.

Re: Must have been bad
Inevitably some fish may have moved out but as Duff and Frugal mentioned, I think most moved to a sanctuary city to ride out the storm. Be a couple days or week for them to recongregate, bait to start moving out of the bays, the bottom to settle and the feedbag is back on. They need to feed before their migration, nature says so. Hopefully in that timeframe there's not an Erin ll.
