jigs:

Remember Tin Squid, he turned me onto jigs and I never looked back !!

The Shur Strike are a bit too heavy @ 1/4oz. I just ordered the Kalins on line (as much as I hate shopping on line) still just a bit too heavy @ 3/16oz. but I think I can file the heads down, they have an awfully large hook also. I still have some Haggerty jigs at 3/32oz which is perfect, unfortunately Haggerty no longer makes jigs. Splitting hairs, yes !! I have to get to Sporting Life to see what jigs they have also.

Sucks Haggerty doesn't make jigs anymore. You turned me onto those over a decade ago! I caught a lot of trout on them.

Hey Andy,

I have used hawken wooly bugger jigs they go down to 1/32 but downside is 3 bucks a jig. The ones I had were pretty durable.

Some places are charging $5.00 for just ONE jig !!! When I first started using Haggerty I think I was paying $1.00 or less per jig. I found the Kalins 1/8th, may just work, very inexpensive also.

I noticed the Marabou on the packet. My buddy adds those feathers to his fluke “bucktails” and swears by them. Those fluke “bucktails “aren’t cheap but are effective.
