Raritan river 4/10/25:
 

I knew right away it was going to be a tough day. I checked the USGS gauge and the water temp went from 58* to 50*, anytime that happens the fish seem to shut down. Fished main stem Raritan river Duke Island Park, Robert St and Petersbrook Greenway in Somerville. Got a handful of stocked rainbow trout, nothing photo worthy. Carried out as much sporting goods as I could from the dam area, other spots I always carried out something, even if it was just a beer can. Saw 3 bald eagles and an osprey. Thinking what kind of angler dumps a spool of Power Pro and lure packages on the ground, a read DBAG ! Looks like a lot of rain coming, time to shuffle the deck again.
