Shimano SLX DC

Hello. I posted this on the Tackle/Bait board with no response. I know it's not technically the right topic for the freshwater board, but I know this section receives a lot of attention since I check it daily. Hopefully someone can offer me some advice since everyone on here seems very knowledgeable in all areas.

Looking into picking up a Shimano SLX DC combo. Never used a DC reel but I'm pretty good with a standard bait caster. My go to have been a Lews Mach Crush and an older Shimano Bantam Curado SF. What's everyone's thoughts on going to the DC and the SLX specifically. Also pairing it with a SLX rod. I throw a wide range of tackle with an emphasis on bladed jigs, jerk baits, swimbait, crankbaits, and mixed topwater. Thanks in advance!

i dont have any experience with the DC reels but if what you are using is working i would stick with it...

personally I am wary of more things to potentially go wrong with the reel...i strictly use the magnetic brake controlled lews baitcasters and love em....i have a quantum with dual brakes that I can never get set right....

you might be better served to post on a bass fishing board or group to get feedback....i know guys love the regular SLX

Thanks Squatch.
I know if its not broke dont fix it, just thinking maybe the DC was a good option to throw lighter tackle on the baitcaster like weightless texas rigs and such. Seen a bunch of youtube videos on them but always appreciate real world advice from a trusted source.
