Last few trips on the ice,
 

Back to hard water this weekend, Mike Z out first timer new to ice fishing with me. Mike wanted to target some rainbows through the ice so that’s what we did. Few baits just under the ice some deeper. We moved the tip ups a few times trying to cover some new water and glad we did. Mike was able to get hit first limit of Trout from this venue and had a nice fish dinner.

I also had Billy c out with me this weekend swinging for the fences. Was also a first timer new to ice fishing… Billy wanted to go big or go home! Deployed the BIG baits out and got the bite we were looking for around 12:30. Fought the fish a while got it to the hole I was just about to grab the leader and it popped off. Grrrrrrrr!!! Back at it again soon I’m away this weekend and will back out the following week if there’s still safe ice. Good luck if you’re heading out!

great report, looks like we have two new ice fishermen to add to the brotherhood nice trout and as always good eats, how can you go wrong with pancakes and sausage on the ice well done capt mikey.:cool:
