Need Monmouth county NJ shoreline recommendation
 

Haven’t really done much freshwater fishing over the past 30 years as have spent my pursuits in the salt. My 12 yr old son badly wants to get out fishing this weekend (he has been on boats since he’s 5) but various factors (including an east blow) will limit options to freshwater.

Any recs for eastern Monmouth county with a good chance for bass or pickerel from the shore? Need an easy trip to have him get a fish or two.

Not looking to spot burn as freshwater really hasn’t been my thing and feel free to PM if you feel so inclined.

I was just at Manasquan reservoir, looks good, water is low everywhere.
