Fishing 🎣 with mosquitoes 🦟 and a snake 🐍
 

Went fishing 🎣 in 74 degrees Carnegie Lake this evening on a warm, sunny day during a nor’easter. Didn’t fish 🎣 in the Millstone River because there was too many weeds there. Saw a dead snake 🐍 on the Delaware and Raritan Canal towpath. Found 3 lures on the Aqueduct. Threw out corn 🌽 for chum, then caught nothing with canned whole kernel corn 🌽 bait. Caught and released a largemouth bass, yellow perch, green sunfish, and 10” black crappie. Lost a jig on a downed tree in the lake then a pickerel bit off a second jig. I stopped jigging after that. Mosquitoes 🦟 were biting. I killed 2. Saw 4 other fishermen catch nothing. Met Leon from Guyana 🇬🇾 and a carper from England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. I reported the green sunfish to the Nonindigenous Aquatic Species Program at nas.er.usgs.gov.
