Fishing Knots

Presented at a few seminars the past few weeks and got a lot of questions about knots. Here's a short list of knots that I've found to be the simplest ones to tie and will cover 99% of what you need for fresh or saltwater applications. Feel free to pile on here...

The Palomar knot which is used to tie on hooks or lures with braid or mono and is know to be one of the stronger knots https://youtu.be/GWNJAgO43tE

The Improved Alberto knot used to join braid to mono.. This is a nice low profile knot that slips through you rod guides a lot better than a uni to uni knot https://youtu.be/roHMWeL9yCQ

Hook Snell knot used to attach a hook to mono line and this allows you to get a better hook set with octopus or circle hook because it pulls in line with the shank of the hook rather then to hook eye https://youtu.be/BPI4rcDi1iE

Loop knot which is used for jig heads or swim baits since it allows the jig or swimbait to move more freely and gives it better action since it's not clinched down on the eye https://youtu.be/BPI4rcDi1iE

Dropper loop which is used to create a high low rig https://youtu.be/Ny4ha12h0wY
