GAMBLER --Striped Bass and Weather Conditions
4 Attachment(s)
We decided not to fish today due to weather conditions.
Gambler had great fishing again yesterday. The bass ranged from 20" throw-backs to almost 40". Tailed 4oz jigs, shads and spoons all worked well. The weather was misty and calm. Working birds and breaking fish were spread-out for miles, so there was no need for boats to be on top of one-another. I know I've said it before --but it can't hurt to mention again: If the wind forecast is calling for Westerly, even up to 35 knots, don't let it keep you home. It will not be rough, due to the lee of the land (and because we will be inside of 3 miles). Stripes love to chomp on a West breeze. Take note of the picture below: Our deckhand, John D, was about to net a bass when the hook popped out of it's mouth and shot his sun glasses. Thank God he was wearing them. Plenty of space available this coming week. Hope to see you aboard I'd like to send a special shout-out to one of my favorite mentors, Capt John "Shammy" Bogan. Thanks for rooting for us! *All our trips are sailing at reduced capacity for your comfort *Heated cabin with hot-food galley *Book on-line or show-up at the dock --if we are not fully booked, we will gladly get you on-board. Suggested to call first at 732-295-7569 *Bonus tag boat --we have your bonus striper tag on board, no extra cost |

Glad Johny is ok. It brings back bad memories from a tuna trip a couple of years ago.

I told him those 7/11 glasses don't hold up!
