Caught 32 fish 🎣
 

Went carping in 86 degree Robert G Martin Lake this evening on a partly cloudy hot day with a light east wind after the new moon. Seven great blue heron flew away from my spot when I arrived. A killdeer flew across the lake. Canada geese, mallards and crows were flying. Spawning fish 🐟 were near the shore. Threw out a can of corn for chum, then caught 27 bluegills, 2 feral goldfish, a common carp, a brown bullhead and a pumpkinseed sunfish with canned whole kernel corn, my homemade corn meal bait and an unbaited #14 gold hook on 2 lb test line. Most of the fish hit my 3 hook rig on 4 lb test line with no bait. It was remarkable that they hit brown hooks. Constant action fishing 🎣 is lots of fun 🤩.
