New to NJ freshwater fishing

Hello so I live only 20 min from Bergen county NJ and about40 mins from Passaic County NJ. I just bought my NJ fishing license. I saw monksville reservoir has a good place to go fishing. I also saw speedwell lake in Passaic County. Anyone have any good recommendations. How's the fishing been? I'll take any and all information as I would like to getting on the water and into fishing

i think it depends on what you're used to and what you want to check out. I dont fish those lakes myself but I figure bass should still be good and sunfish ive seen shallow in numerous lakes
