December surf swimming
 

Went fishing at Manasquan Inlet, NJ, this evening on the outgoing tide during a 40 knot south wind gale after the rain stopped. > 30 surfers were there. Ocean was rough. Caught lots of weeds. Got second parking spot near the jetty. Saw a common loon in the inlet. Caught, tagged and released a 19” striped bass on my 77th cast of the day at 5:17 PM. Lost a striped bass in the inlet over the fence on my second cast while leaving at night. Saw a guy in a bathing suit enter the ocean.
