Caught a 30” 14.5 Lb common carp with ShopRite canned whole kernel corn on 4 lb test line in Carnegie Lake this evening. Had a great fight

Beautiful Carp and a sick catch on the 4 lb. test line. Had to be a drag screamer. :D

That is a handsome carp. What a beast! I’ve caught some big carp but nothing like that one and not on 4# test. I always used a landing net like the ones used for bass while fishing on boats. How do you land those monsters?

I wait until they get tired, then kick them ashore with my knee boots. Last year I fought a carp in the Delaware River for 57 minutes.
