Parking Lot Stripers
 

Sandy Hook area was like parking lot this morning by 630AM. Started off a little away from crowds and landed two nice 29" - 32" bass on 1st & 2nd casts. It was crazy. Half the guys were trolling & half were jigging. Couldn't take it after around 45 min and moved West. Spooned up a few more bass that were all keepers but nothing over 35". Quit by 1100AM and headed home. Nice 1st day out with my brother.

They are coming from all over to fish Raritan bay for bass. Boats attract boats although these fish are pretty much everywhere in the bay and rivers! The crowds of boats give them lockjaw. I try to keep away from the fleet but it seems once I hook up on a fish or two miles from the fleet I am surrounded buy boats in a matter of minutes and it's time to move on! Tight Lines!
