Fished central Ocean Co. Friday evening water was stained and weedy, Sat am found some nice structure had bait and Loons working the lip with no Bass on it. Went back Saturday evening and got 2 and missed a couple more. It was really nice out no crowd good weather. Felt good to put it together and get some action.

Have you had any or many striped bass tag returns in the last year? My fluke returns were down this year and I was wondering how anyone else was doing.

Got one fluke return this year from 2019. Got one bluefish return last year a few months after I tagged it. Got three fluke returns in 2019 from fish that I tagged in 2018.

Most of my tag returns have come from fish (mostly fluke) that I had tagged the year before. The majority of those tags came from fish that were tagged very close to the area where they had been originally caught. A few came from commercial boats that were dragging in the Hudson Canyon, but, for the most part, the fluke came back the following year to where they had been tagged previously.
