Got a 6inch. Works fine not sure brand has pic. Of horseshoe on it says ball bearing

Update my reel is made by meisselbach patent date stamped on reel March 9 1897. Yes 1897

Those wooden reels are nice wall hangers these days. Using a 130 year old reel today would be asking for trouble. If you look at the ones on Ebay, 2 of the 3 have the side plate repaired from the sides snapping off.

Still on the hunt...
