Stripers on the Sea Tiger II, Saturday 12/4
 

Chased birds most of the day. Got my limit early on, a 27"slot and a 29" keeper. C & R after that, w/ 10 more fish ranging from 28" down to 17" late in the trip. Beautiful weather -- calm for a few hours, really warming up. Then cooler w/ a light S wind. Lure choice for most fishermen was a shad. I tried a 6" shad for the 1st few drifts, then switched to my old reliable, a gold 2-1/2 oz Kandlefish spoon. Caught all 12 of fish on the Kandlefish (no longer in manufacture but I have plenty).

Last Tuesday, I caught 2 small stripers from the F Beach at SH, and the following day one more. However, the boat was never close to the beach -- at least a mile off, maybe 2 miles.
