The dogs are gone up here in the gulf of Maine!

Very happy to report that the dogfish have left the fishing grounds down here and the large pollock are showing up. The haddock are still hanging around, had a good (not great) day on the water.

I should have jigged I was using clams, caught a lot of cod all of which went back (they closed it 3 days earlier). Still a ton of fun.

Great, I guess that explains that 10 we caught last Friday. It's that time of year.

...Hard to argue with a broomstick and 30 pound test line...But when the bite is hot...And it hasn't been for a few years, but it's picking up, it's such a nice feeling to land these fish.
