Water temps have finally dropped a little
Oh man...This heat wave has been brutal everywhere. Stripers have taken a long time out when it gets this hot out. However, today there was a drop in the ocean temp, not much only a degree or two, but with that, things changed a tad. Hit pine-point beach in Scarborough, ME and loaded up in Clams (love that anyone can dig for hen clams in Scarborough, no license required, 4 five gallon bucket limit per day), and finally, after two weeks, got on the board with a few little guys. Felt great.
I'm blown away by the things you guys are talking about. No one is catching flounder, that's always a slow bite, but off shore, we are catching Atlantic Hallibut and those have been increasingly rare over the years, but this year it's picking up. Also, the pollock have finally re-appeared after disappearing last year making the fall look like a good bite is possible. First, got some bait https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUJG9ppT3Fc&t=28s Then got back on the board. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR6g_NkVQbM&t=4s |

Stop spamming NJ Fishing with your out of state YouTube videos. Super obvious you're just fishing for views.
There are several posters here on NJF that have YouTube channels too, that actually have content from NJ, but you don't see us spamming the board. |

I like fishing in Maine. My boss longlines for Halibut.
