FISHERMEN/New Monthly Pool Leader!
 

Had some pretty tough conditions most of the day but we made the best of it and produced.....

Quality fish once again with several Fluke from 4 to 7 pounds. Super Dave & Fran made the stick with their three by days end. Several guys with 2 nice fish & Sea bass.

Merg Anthony's big fish yesterday didn't last long on the leader board at 5 pounds as Kelly Reilly, (Atlantic Highlands) landed his third personal best with a Beauty at 7 pounds 1 ounce to take the lead in the Monthly pool.

Lost a whole bunch of rigs, by now everyone should know why.....Fishing the Ocean, Rocks & snags, Current!!! You need weight and a Rod that can handle up to 10 ounces of weight. I would bring plenty of extra tackle to be safe. Rod rentals come with a set up, we do not supply tackle once it is lost, you have to purchase it......Sorry.

Not a party boat fisherman but I find it ridiculous that if someone rents a rod from you (most likely a novice fisherman) you will not replace a hook and some leader for them. 85$ to get on the boat and rent a rod but will not replace a busted off setup? Times must be really hard.....

If you lose 5 rigs, that is at least 10 bucks in wholesale material cost for a rod that rents for $3 to $5 on many boats. Unlimited rigs would mean a sharp raise on rental prices or fishing on sand where there are few quality fish.

As you are not a PARTY BOAT guy obviously you don't know me or how I run my business. We do replace MANY set ups everyday but there is a limit to it, I don't supply lead & tackle because you rented a Rod for $5. Times are not hard my friend and we go out of our way in more ways than one for ALL OUR customers, it's still a business. Thanks for your opinion though.

Just funny in multiple posts per week you're trying to smooth things over with complaints that people have made and the second someone goes against the grain you have a temper tantrum....

Stugots, being honest and straight to the point is a lot different than throwing a temper tantrum. Warning customers beforehand about conditions only helps you if you listen. Capt. Ron posts almost every day good, bad, or indifferent. Most party boats give you 1 rig/jig with your rental and charge for more tackle after you lose your first rig(within reason). So your problem is with the fleet not Capt. Ron. This attack on Capt. Ron is uncalled for. Maybe you should think about chartering a boat where everything is included. Just my opinion, please pm me if you disagree as this has gone too long.
