Sub 6lb LMB on Yak!
6 Attachment(s)
Went out yesterday after the Tshowers (Warren county). Spent the morning installing my new Garmin sonar unit. 7' screen on a yak is ridiculous. Love it!! Started chasing crappie but no takers. The bass on the other hand were active. Using a lighter 1/8th crappie slider n smaller plastics on a ML combo. This beast hit like a freight train and had my drag screaming and yak doing circles. I have instant reverse on the pedals so I was able to move away from the shoreline. After 3 or 4 misses on my small collasable net... she barely went in head 1st. WOW!! I won't lie...I might have been a little shaky handed too with the net. 5.72lb and approx 21-22 inches. After catching the bass of the year...it was time to relax sit back n panfish. Landed bout 20 mixed bluegills n crappie on a slip bobber set up. They were in about 5 to 7ft at the weedline. 1/16th jig with a 2.5' gulp minnow. Go get em guys! Bites on!!

Whoaaaa! Now that’s a pig Bass. Congrats on taming that beast on the yak. Must’ve been intense. That fish is probably going to be close to 7 lbs in the fall when she fills up for winter. Keep your eye on that fish. :D
